Why You Should Master Both Old and New Toolpaths for Inlays

When it comes to creating inlays, understanding both the old VCarve Toolpath and the new Inlay Toolpath is essential for maximizing your versatility and achieving the best results in different situations.

The VCarve Toolpath (the classic method) is perfectly suited for End-Grain inlays, offering excellent flexibility and precision. Additionally, it allows you to create inlays using not only V-bits but also Tapered Ball Nose (TBN) bits, making it ideal for intricate designs or specific projects requiring these tools. However, it is less effective for Face-Grain inlays, where achieving seamless results can be more challenging.

The New Inlay Toolpath, introduced in Vectric 12, is designed for creating flawless Face-Grain and End-Grain inlays. It simplifies the process and ensures exceptional precision, making it a versatile tool for most inlay applications. However, it does not support the use of TBN bits, which limits its flexibility compared to the VCarve Toolpath.

By mastering both toolpaths, you’ll gain the ability to choose the most suitable method for each project. Whether you need the adaptability of the old VCarve Toolpath or the precision and ease of the new Inlay Toolpath, this bundle equips you with the knowledge to handle any inlay challenge.

After purchasing, you will receive access to the online class, which can be taken directly to your workshop without the need to download any materials. The course includes two modules, giving you detailed insights into both toolpaths.
